Sunset

To circle clandestine doldrums of lust
Is a delicate sport
Coated in amorous consumption,
Rough hands clinging to melding flesh

Where I succumb to pulsing intoxication,
Shivers that begin to absorb hesitance
Beyond the cusp of sense,
Beyond the edge of consumption

Where I surrender to jagged rocks
That devour my innocence
And ravish ample skin
With love bites

Dissipating into lilac blemishes,
Stains that tattoo my skin
With loving adoration
Or misdirected desire

Where I merge
Into a sunset of graceful delusion.
