love starved girl
love starved girl
with a lot of
imagination,
began conjuring up
fictional fathers
that would never let
her down the way
real people do;
love starved girl
trying to make friends
made art only to be
rejected to all those whom
she bestowed her creations to—
love starved girl
watched her sister get
all the love
she never received,
love starved girl
wondered if she was worthy
of love or if she was just a burden
to everyone she cared about;
love starved girl
could’ve been fed but instead
she suffered until she learned to love
herself but sometimes i find
that i’m still hungry.
