The Kind Whittle
The kind – whittle the world,
careful strokes
that shape a truth, a need,
a sadness.
Rough edges
exposed in patience,
carving the texture to a
vulnerable past.
Each cut is a subtle risk,
a chance to lose
a voice, a hope, a feeling;
faith tempered by the
precision of words.
Relationships take shape –
crafting generosity,
as a person is revealed by the
focus of a tender hand.
Kindness – is the polish that
adds to the moment,
a free hand that sees
no chore, just the possibility
for something better.
