Ian Douglas Robertson was born in England, raised in southern Ireland and has lived a large part of his life in Greece. His novels and stories are largely set in Ireland or Greece, or both, but he likes to think his characters are of universal interest. He has written a wide range of books, from short stories, ghost stories, memories and poems to novels, including one fantasy novel and a children’s novel. He has written three books in collaboration with his wife Katerina; Larger Than Life (Karnac, 2017), Before You Let the Sun in (Sphinx, 2018) and In Search of a Father’s Footsteps (Trigger, 2021), collections of stories based on her work as a dramatherapist. His most recent publications are Break, Break, Break, The Frankenstein Legacy and The Reluctant Messiah.
