Lucy Sage, began been writing poetry at a young age. Born in Philadelphia, she subsequently lived in the
Philippines and Nigeria while her father worked for the United Nations. She went to boarding school in
England in the mid-sixties, but dropped out of high school in 1969 and went to San Francisco. After
waitressing and finally getting her degrees, she worked for politicians for 30 years. Besides poetry and
riding bike, she likes to paint, walk with her dog and explore cities. Recently, she lived in St Petersburg,
Florida for eight years, where a number of her poems were published in Neptune, a local poetry and art
magazine. She returned to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 2023, where she has lived for most of her life.
