Again and Again
Lipstick stained cups
Loose curls
Award winning smile
Teeth the color of pearls
Raised eyebrows
Tongue in cheek banter
Deafening principles only you could sell out
The likes of a cantor
The red sweater you gave me turned gray
Maple tree leaves falling, mourning an infinite may
Memories made from the passenger seat
Roaring how I felt, forgetting you prefer the discrete
Indecipherable passions, eros or philia
Sound minded observation or hopeful mania
I could never fully discern, reasoning was never my strong suit
What we once had, that’s all I want, I’m calling for a forceful restitute
You waltzing into my life only to drop me during the dip
Contrasting the calluses on my palms
I refused to loosen my grip
If I know this to be true, why am I checking the door in case you walk in
But a tip in case you do, uncertainty makes a terrible underpin
I abhor our usual charade, if I wanted to play a guessing game I’d fall in love with a mime
For the love of god, be creative when you break my heart this time

Born, raised, and currently based in Miami, my work is heavily influenced by my lived experiences and emotional reality.
