Welcome Emilia
Welcome to the world my little one.
With your first breath, life has begun.
Your anticipated arrival was slightly delayed,
But God knew best and would not be swayed.
When you came, your dad wanted to shout,
But before he could, he passed smooth out.
Now you can start this grand adventure
With plenty of thrills from your every venture.
Big sister will help as you travel along.
Your bond with her will grow ever so strong.
She will guide your first trip down the slide
And share other firsts close by your side.
Mom and Dad will guard and protect,
But at times, they will also need to correct.
This is just part of what parents must do
Because this reveals their love for you.
They will love you with all their heart,
Just as they did from the very start.
They will soothe your hurts, dry your tears,
Laugh and play with you down through the years.
God will keep you in His warm embrace
Because He holds for you a special place.
He will watch you as you grow and grow,
Always close by through life’s ebb and flow.
No matter what come, no matter what may,
He will always be just a whisper away.
So, let these words ring loud and true,
For they were penned to welcome you.
