Can I Meet You Again…
Can I meet you again…
for the first time?
Those memories will become
realities and new moments.
We were so young,
too young to know
that what should have been
meant to be,
could have been what was,
instead of what was not.
Attraction.
Seduction.
Passion.
Obsession.
Pride goeth before a Fall.
Confession.
Aggression.
Retraction.
Inaction.
We walked away from what was.
Tails between our legs.
A brave front;
and a false one too.
Could it have been different?
An ending with a future.
But we would probably
have done the same.
For the first time…
can I meet you again?
